Blog Entry #3 (Arts & Crafts Plates)

Today, 12/6/12, I decided to work on my requirement in TLE. I realize that time is running and the deadline of this will be on Saturday, 8 December 2012, 5:30 PM. I just woke up and my head will start to think again. So here we go, I must write my experiences when I'm doing art works.

1. Plate No.2 (Covering of the drawing book using recycled materials and plastic cover)

During this situation, it took me so much time to think of a design for my drawing book. I first took a couple of pink construction paper. I decided to cover it and to worry later about the design. When I'm searching for design, my sitmate offered me a page from the magazine. And it was color blue thingy with a design. Then I decided to paste it on my drawing book =)).

2. Plate No.3 (Designing the first page)

The first page was just very easy, I didn’t use any paper, scissors, glue but instead, I used pencil and marker. First, I made a lettering of my name, then trace it with a blue and pink marker =)).

3. Plate No.4 (Folding and Cutting of Basic Shapes and Forms)

a)    Rectangles

I didn’t break a sweat in making rectangles. It was very easy. I made buildings out of small and big rectangles. I used many construction paper here =)).

b)    Squares

I made a cute robot =)). I cut many square shaped and it was very easy again. It was cool and fun.

c)    Circles

Circles are hard to do. Because circles don’t have edges/sides. So you must be very careful to do it. Sometimes, I am committing mistakes here. But out of many circles, I made an apple.

d)    Stars ( 5-pointed, 8-pointed, 4-pointed)

Stars, Oh @@. For me, when I made the stars, It was a nightmare. I can’t help but to seek for help to my sitmates. Fortunately, they are so kind that they helped me with it =)).

4. Plate No.5 (Expanding Shapes & Forms)

e)    expanding rectangles

Expanding Rectangles is expanding. It was so cool B). I used another pink construction paper here. I enjoyed cutting it.

f)     expanding squares

Expanding Squares is expanding. It was another cool stuff. I used another pink construction so that it will be pink all out.

g)    expanding circles

Expanding Circles is expanding. It was another cool stuff because it is circles. You must be careful to do this. Finally, I have my last pink construction paper here.
